Jonas Albion

The King of Pain

Description:

The King of Pain
The real name of the King of Pain is Jonas Albion and was the last person to be direct descendant from Rev. Albion on Eerie. He was a itinerant healer and, liniment salesman in 19th century Eerie who made a fortune peddling his “medicine” (An aconite liniment) from a pitch at Third, and Mission streets. Was probably the most ornate personage in the Eerie of his time. He told those who bought the liniment he sold outside the Angel of Mercy Infirmary that if they covered their bodies with the ointment as he did, they would have no need for clothes. As he grew wealthier from the sales of his aconite ointment, he bought himself a coal-black coach and six snow-white horses to draw it. He himself wore a bright red union suit, a heavy velour robe, a ostrich-feathered plug hat, and a heavy sword. He once gave Emperor Joshua Abraham Norton a new suit. He lost it all at the gaming tables. He tried to tempt Emperor Norton into betraying his dignity for his desires (in the form of Worldly Power, Wealth, An Estate, and Noble Wife). Norton retains his dignity, and refuses the offers, saying he is content ruling his city, that he has all he needs.

House of Nonsense
From 1929 to 1945 a man that called himself the King of Lies opened a novelty store at Southgate called “The House of Nonsense”. He specializes in jokes and disguises. The same year the building was built, it cought fire and they have to rebuilt it. The man disappear and the place was closed and demolish on 1979. The Byram Arcade is located were this place was.

1929.06.06 – Jack Skellington (@Under Places) walked out of the underworld and went to the upside to the city of Eerie. He then stole a chunk of the store with the front wall included and took it to upgrade his cave deep under Eerie. Many people in Eeriertown believed him to be legend and were very scare of him, specially when he draged the chunk of the house back to his cave.

It was discovered by the Dream Warriors that King Jareth had the capability of visiting our reality before and has used the identity of King of Pain and King of Lies in more than one occasion. When using the random and unreliable gate to Kobalos, Jareth can stay on our plane for 13 hours or 13 days but has none of his special powers or spells.
